Tuesday 01/31/12 - Glee and New Girl Push FOX to #1
For the third consecutive week, original episodes of FOX's Glee (2.54 A18-49 Live Rating), New Girl (2.44) and Raising Hope (1.65) averaged the largest A18-49 audience on Tuesday, with last night's highly-promoted Michael Jackson episode making Glee the highest rated program of the evening.
Though dropping 6% from last week, Univision's Tuesday premiere of El Talisman (1.54), 9pm episode of La Que No Podia Amar (2.08) and 10pm airing of Aqui Y Ahora (1.25) placed the network second for the evening among A18-49, landing ahead of CBS’ full line-up of repeats, which included NCIS (1.88), NCIS: LA (1.69) and Unforgettable (1.33).
Opening the evening with back-to-back repeats of Last Man Standing at 8pm (1.46) and 8:30pm (1.64), ABC finished the night with the season finale of Celebrity Wife Swap (1.72) at 9pm and Body of Proof (1.00) repeat at 10pm, landing the network fourth overall among A18-49, as the reality program improved 87% from its previous closer on Friday, 08/13/10.
Trailing ABC by 8% last night among A18-49 viewers, NBC's two-hour airing of The Biggest Loser (1.60) decreased by 5% from a week ago, leading into a repeat of Parenthood (0.70) at 10pm, as the network only averaged a larger A18-49 broadcast audience than The CW.
The latest episodes of The CW's 90210 (0.54) and return of Ringer (0.43) continued to trail its broadcast competition Tuesday night, as the former program improved 15% among A18-49 and the latter declined 9% from their previous airings on 01/24/12 and 11/29/11, respectively.
