Saturday 1/14/12 – CBS' AFC Divisional Game Overshadows the Miss America Pageant on ABC

Attracting 32.8 Live total viewers, CBS' coverage of the AFC Divisional Game between the Denver Broncos vs. New England Patriots dominated Primetime viewing, registering an 11.89 A18-49 Live rating and experiencing a 4% uptick from the network's afternoon coverage between the Baltimore Ravens & Pittsburgh Steelers last year.

FOX hosted the first game of the weekend's NFL Divisional Playoffs coverage with the NFC matchup between the New Orleans Saints vs. San Francisco 49ers (+9% from last year's game between the Green Bay Packers & Atlanta Falcons) bleeding into Primetime. Bolstered by the NFL overrun, FOX placed second in Primetime with A18-49 viewers, airing a new episode of Cops (1.47) and a repeat of Terra Nova (0.71).

Leading out of a Wipeout repeat (0.81), ABC's coverage of the 2012 Miss America Pageant (1.72) improved its A18-49 viewership by 16% from last year's event (01/15/11) and pushed the network to third place for the night.

Variety series, Sabado Gigante (0.84), helped Univision outperform NBC's repeat programming of The Firm (0.33) and Law & Order: SVU (1.64) with A18-49.
