Monday 01/23/12 - FOX's New Monday Night Lineup Wins
Kicking off the week with a new Monday night lineup, FOX's combination of House (2.11 A18-49 Live Rating) and Alcatraz (2.42) provided the network with the largest A18-49 television audience last night. Shifting to 8pm, House reported an 11% increase in A18-49 viewing from its 9pm Fall finale on 11/28/11. Though Alcatraz lost 9% of its audience from last week's series premiere, it grew 15% from its lead-in while also providing the network a 13% bump with A18-49 from last year's episode of Lie to Me.
Filling last night's schedule with repeats of its Monday night fare, CBS still grabbed second place among A18-49 viewers. Encores of How I Met Your Mother (2.17), 2 Broke Girls (2.40), Two and a Half Men (2.79), Mike & Molly (2.26) and Hawaii Five-O (1.58) combined for greater A18-49 viewership than ABC's latest episodes of The Bachelor (1.86) and Castle (1.72), with the former increasing 3% and latter declining 9% from a week ago.
Univision's lineup of Familia Con Suerte (1.75), Que No Podia Amar (2.05) and Don Francisco Presenta (1.19) landed fourth overall with A18-49 viewers, averaging a 16% larger audience than History's Pawn Stars and American Pickers, which made it the highest rated cable network among A18-49 last night.
Though its latest episodes of Who's Still Standing (1.63) and two-hour Rock Center with Brian Williams (1.46) improved 7% and 23%, respectively among A18-49, NBC continued to trail most of the other broadcast networks on Monday, only drawing better viewership than The CW's Gossip Girl (0.38) and Hart of Dixie (0.42), both of which declined by double-digit percentages from their previous airings.
