Friday 1/27/12 - Univision Wins, NBC's Chuck Comes to an End
Improving 10% overall from a week ago, a fresh lineup of Univision's Friday night programming, including Familia Con Suerte (1.50 A18-49 Live rating), Que No Podia Amar (1.76) and Rosa De Guadalupe (1.27) averaged the largest A18-49 audience Friday night.
Trailing Univision, ABC's second week of Shark Tank (1.25), Primetime: What Would You Do? (1.52) and 20/20 (1.36), combined for second place among A18-49 viewers, with only the network's 9PM program holding steady from last week, while the other two programs declined by double-digit percentages.
Despite featuring a full lineup of repeats, CBS' A Gifted Man (0.94), CSI: NY (1.10) and Blue Bloods (1.22) landed ahead of the remaining broadcast networks and ESPN last night, as the cable network's NBA game between the New York Knicks and Miami Heat helped pull in the night's largest A18-49 cable audience.
NBC's Friday night schedule kicked off with the final two episodes of Chuck at 8PM (0.92) and 9PM (1.06), with the former airing improving 8% from a week ago and the latter declining 9% from its fourth season finale. The network's 10PM airing of Dateline NBC (1.03) dropped 19% among A18-49 from last week.
Declining 6% among A18-49 from a week ago, FOX's 8PM airing of Kitchen Nightmares (1.18) led into the network's 9PM episode of Fringe (0.80), which garnered relatively similar results to last week, though only landed FOX ahead of The CW's repeats of Nikita (0.33) and Supernatural (0.40) among A18-49 broadcast viewers.
