Monday 1/16/12 – FOX's Alcatraz Debuts To Solid Ratings, NBC's Betty White Special and the Premiere of Betty White's Off Their Rockers Delivers Results

Posting a 9% increase with A18-49 compared to the series opener of Terra Nova on 9/26/11, the two-hour series debut of Alcatraz (2.65) pushed FOX to a second place finish for the night among the demo.
NBC's 90-minute Betty White's 90th Birthday special (2.53), combined with the series premiere of Betty White Off Their Rockers (2.29) and a new episode of Rock Center (1.19) landed the network in third place for the night with A18-49, with both Betty White programs delivering signficant growth compared to their benchmarks. The series debut of Betty White Off Their Rockers helped boost Rock Center with Brian Williams A18-49 Live ratings, improving 68% with the demo week-to-week.
CBS' line-up returned from a week of repeats, capturing a first place win with A18-49 viewers Monday ngiht. The 150th episode of How I Met Your Mother at 8PM (3.28), 2 Broke Girls (3.60) and Two and a Half Men (3.78) all enjoyed a ratings bump with the demo from 2 weeks ago (+17%, +9% and +5%, respectively), while Mike & Molly (3.25) remained relatively steady. At 10PM, Hawaii Five-O (2.44) posted minimal viewing declines, winning the hour with A18-49.
ABC placed fourth with A18-49 viewers across the TV landscape, with a two-hour The Bachelor (1.80) improving 20% with the demo from last week's episode. Ranking second at 10PM, a new episode of Castle (1.89) experienced slight improvemetn with the demo compared to its prior original.
Trailing behind its broadcast counterparts, a new original of Gossip Girl (0.45) and a repeat of Hart of Dixie (0.34) drew minimal A18-49 viewership to The CW, with the former up 13% from its prior original on 12/05/11.
