Wednesday 12/21/11 – X Factor Part 1 Finale Leads, Mostly Repeats Elsewhere
FOX capitalized on its full line-up of originals, including the Part 1 of the X Factor finale (2.66). With the reality competition holding relatively steady from a week ago, FOX easily reported the largest A18-49 audience Thursday night, as the strong lead-in also provided a boost for its lead-out, I Hate My Teenage Daughter (1.84), which improved 13% from a week ago.
Growing slightly from a week ago with A18-49, Univision's lineup of Familia con Suerte (1.58), Fuerza del Destino (2.08) and Rosa de Guadalupe (1.36) still placed ahead of the remaining broadcast networks.
Despite rolling out a full lineup of repeat programming last night, ABC's regular Wednesday schedule landed the network third overall among A18-49.
CBS’ only new program, a special airing of A Home for the Holidays with Martina McBride (0.74), drew 7% more A18-49 viewers than last year's episode, which was followed by repeats of Criminal Minds and CSI, dropping the network behind ABC for the evening.
Also airing only one original, NBC anchored its lineup with the Thursday edition of Who's Still Standing? (1.60), declining 8% from Wednesday's airing, with the network closing out the rest of the night with repeats of A Michael Buble Christmas and Law & Order: SVU.
Falling significantly behind its broadcast counterparts, repeats of Gossip Girl and Gaga by Gaultier special drew minimal A18-49 audiences to The CW.
